Service and OutreachAs disciple-makers of Jesus Christ we are called to serve the community and seek to fulfill needs. We look for ways to be evermore involved and perhaps this can be an area you can help us with!
Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." |

The Gospel Mission Food PantryEvery Wednesday from 9-11 AM the Gospel Mission Food Pantry distributes groceries to individuals and families in need over on the "west side" or Harmar. Heartland Nursing HomeEvery third Sunday afternoon we are reaching out to our local nursing home to extend the love of Christ. We start with a short devotional, play games like Bingo, and close out our time with prayer and requests. Why do we do this? James 1:27 teaches, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Come join us as we pour into the lives of the elderly (if interested, please call the church about the meeting time).

Assisted living is a type of residential care for older adults who need help with normal daily activities. Seniors in assisted living receive personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed so that they’re able to live as independently as possible. A look around a typical assisted living community will reveal something far different from the clinical setting many imagine when they hear the words “retirement home.” While each community is different, assisted living facilities in the U.S. today typically offer a wide range of convenient services, comforts, amenities, and enriching activities to ensure residents get the help and care they need, in a setting they can call “home.”
