Who We Are
Purpose Statement and Statement of FaithIf you would like more information about the CCCC, please visit their website (link below). |
The Purpose Statement of Putnam Congregational Church is to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, and evangelism.
The Statement of Faith of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) is:
|
"In essentials, unity; In non-essentials, liberty; In all things, charity." |
The statement on the left is the summation of what the CCCC Conference is all about. The CCCC comes from a rich heritage that sees its history as first emerging with the Pilgrims and Puritans of Colonial America. While the current conference is much more diverse today that it was in the 17th century, the tradition of holding fast to the Word of God for His glory is at the core of everything we do.
Polity: The church is headed by Christ and is led cooperatively under the shepherding of the pastor and the deacons. Four "quarterly" meetings are held in which members vote on various decisions of the church. |
